A nice, desk cheat sheet where our students will have a set of key phrases in Spanish (and their meanings in English below) facing them to encourage them practise the target language as much as possible in the classroom. On the side of the paper that is facing the teacher you will find their names written down to help you learn these, and 4 things they want us to know about themselves (e.g. a drawing of them riding a horse, a foot ball, music, etc) with a phrase that defines each picture. There are around 15-17 different combinations on each panel (left contains the subjects of the sentences and right the rest of the sentence), which by clicking twice on each will get you a random subject and second half of the sentence, i.e. “mis padres tiene ventanas” and students have to discuss whether the sentence generated makes sense and why, and how it can be changed in such a way it could make sense, if we want to generate some further thinking afterwards.

A Spanish version based on the PLONK technique (points, linking phrases, opinions, nifty grammar & knockout phrases) to help our students develop and perfect their language in exams. Vocab to practise module 5 in stimmt 1 textbook: in der stadt in a fun way. This card game includes 18 items of vocabulary and consists of 36 cards that include a place in town image and its name below. But careful! Some are labelled wrong - Students must grab one card and name the place they see before putting it down on a pile in the centre. If the place is labelled wrong and they read it without correcting it, they will have to get all cards from the pile. The winner is the person who runs out of cards. Perfect to review places in town vocabulary and key sounds pronunciation in class.

A 54-slide ppt which covers the relevant language to teach Module 2.1 Que te gusta hacer? from the Viva 1 textbook. Ppt contains plenty of vocabulary to give opinions and talk about free time activities in their infinitive forms at length. It also includes a wide range of adjectives to describe these activities and frequency, always going beyond what the textbook offers. It does not get into verb conjugations at this stage, however it does highlight the 3 different types of infinitives to slowly raise awareness for the next sub-topic. 2 different vocab tests also included.
